Omniture products. Do you?
It’s no secret that I in relations to my profession use Omnitures products. Well, to be perfectly honest, my company at this point in time uses SiteCatalyst, and only that one product.
I have just returned home from a seminar hosted by Omniture in Copenhagen earlier today, and I have to say, I’m impressed.
Two products, namely Search Center and Test & Target were the main “objects” of the seminar, with thorough run-throughs of both products, with cases to boot.
My impression? If you work with SEM, then I’d say you’re well off using Search Center to its fullest. Very well off. It will without a doubt allow you to optimize your time used on maintaining your tracking of adwords, keeping them up to date is really a sinch. Also, the product really seems incredibly effective at optimizing pricing and payment of adwords.
Now, Test & Target really got to me. The ability to easily do A/B testing and multivariate testing to optimize all aspects of your webiste, is absolutely brilliant. Couple these two products with SiteCatalyst, and you should be ready to roll.
Of course, there’s a learning curve. Omnitures products are absolutely stunning, however certain prerequisites need to be fulfilled to get full benefit of the products. Expect to need to learn, a lot, if you want to use this in your company. It is indeed worth it.
